There are stories that can take you back to times when youth seemed endless, and any adventure could become a lifelong journey. This is exactly the play “Ya, “Pobeda” and Berlin” of the Maria Zankovetska Theater, created based on the autobiographical story by Kuzma Skryabin (Andriy Kuzmenko). Journey of the old “Pobeda”
The play “Ya, “Pobeda” and Berlin” – is a provocative theatrical road-movie. It has everything: humor, music, nostalgia for the 90-s, absurd situations, dreams about Europe, and the crazy energy of youth. The production has already received recognition – last year it became the laureate of the National Theater Award “GRA”.
According to the plot, the main character receives an adventurous proposal to go to Berlin to profitably sell an antique car. The plan seems simple: get in the car, cross the border, reach Germany, and return with good money. But the road turns into a series of funny, absurd, and sometimes absolutely hopeless situations. The hero gets into trouble after trouble, and the ordinary trip gradually turns into a real adventure.
On stage comes to life the atmosphere of the “stormy” 90-s: sweaters with BOYS prints, lacquered quiffs, border queues, shortages, first contacts with the Western world, and a dream to at least glance behind the Iron Curtain. All this is presented with the trademark irony and self-irony, well known to Kuzma's creative fans.

“Ya, “Pobeda” and Berlin” – is not just a comedy about a failed trip. It is a kind of meeting with an old friend who recalls his adventures, picks up a guitar –, and suddenly familiar melodies take the viewer back to another time.
The play is filled with music, live emotions, and humor, behind which lies warm nostalgia. Youth here is shown as it really is: wild, hooliganish, a bit ridiculous, but incredibly alive.
It is an opportunity to laugh at the hero's adventures, recognize the spirit of the era in them, and at the same time recall one's own dreams, mistakes, and adventures. And “Pobeda”, which stubbornly refuses to go, becomes perhaps the brightest symbol of this story. Come and set off on a wild journey with the heroes without leaving the theater hall.
